The Setagaya City Sports Promotion Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation, strives to realize a "lifelong sports society" in which residents can enjoy sports "anytime," "anywhere," "anyone," and "forever" in places close to them. The Foundation provides sports and recreational programs suited to the lifestyles of residents, from children to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as the management and operation of sports facilities, and strives to promote and spread a wide range of sports and recreation.

We want to work with people like this.

  • 1. Taking a proactive approach to everything and placing importance on the process
  • 2. People who are aware of their role as members of an organization and who work diligently
  • 3. People who can sense problems and have a passion for solving them

Features

Planning and running of sports classes and events

In addition to the Junior Academy and fitness classes, we plan and manage sports classes and events that people of all ages can participate in, such as the Setagaya 246 Half Marathon and the Ward Residents Sports Festival. With the cooperation and collaboration of various parties, including supporting members of our foundation, top athletes, volunteer staff, universities in the ward, and local companies, we work together as a team to ensure that all participants are pleased.

Management and operation of sports facilities

We manage and operate sports facilities such as the Setagaya Sports Complex, which is the sports hub of Setagaya Ward, Okura Second Sports Ground, Chitose Heated Pool, and Futako Tamagawa Green Park located along the Tama River. At the management offices of each facility, we have many opportunities to interact with customers at the counter, and we work while feeling a connection with the local community.
